The month of November has been a busy but eventful one in the Nigerian Senate. Lots of Bills were presented and a few other motions passed. Out of all the Bills presented, a number of them also passed for second reading.

Bukola Saraki On A Selfie Spree With NASS Staff

During the International Youth Day last month, the Senate President Bukola Saraki took some selfies with members of the All Progressives Youth Forum APYF who came visiting. And then yesterday, when he went on a tour of the National Assembly, to familiarize himself with the facilities and the legislative staff. Some National Assembly staff on duty who saw the pictures he took with members of the APYF met with him and asked to take some selfies too. Meanwhile, is that Policeman at the far right pouting? Lol. No More Bulk Billing: Time to take on DSTV

Last week, the power sector experienced the end of the contentious practice of bulk billing, due to the 8th Senate’s intervention in the affair. The practice of bulk billing, which is a status quo that has been maintained for several years, began the beginning of its end on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, when the Senate directed the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to immediately abolish fixed charges on electricity consumption, and the bulk marketing of villages and communities.
